I had to bake a lemon loaf and something else for a bakesale, and then when I was at the store buying the ingredients I saw that Betty Crocker was on sale... so I made my brother (who just moved out) a housewarming cake too.
Here's his cake, chocolate with chocolate-peanut-butter icing and Reese's pieces

then on to the lemon loaf, with lemon glaze (creative, I know)

And finally my own Apple Scrumpties... we had a LOT of apples at my place.

Thanks for looking!

That cake looks delicious!!  I'm interested in how you made the peanut butter frosting...I've not heard of that before!

Oh it's easy!  you can make up your own chocolate icing, or use a store bought jar.  Then you just put a couple tablespoons of peanut butter in the microwave until it's liquidy, and stir it into your chocolate icing. Tastes fab, my mum requests it on every cake.

Is that the tan color too?  Or is that just drizzled peanut butter?

Either way, looks delicious...I may have to make this for hubby's b-day next week!

The chocolate and peanut butter cake looks delicious.  I'm English and I'm totally addicted to Reese's Peanut Butter cups - I just can't get enough of them.  The only store in town that sells them had none on the shelves and I made an assistant go and get a box from the store room and bought 10 packets (that's 30 PBCs).  That was Monday and I only have 3 left  Cry.  Time to go shopping again me thinks  Grin.

The Apple Scrumpties look nice too.  Good job this site isn't Scratch and Sniff.

Well done on the baking.

With blessings.

I just have to bookmark this, because I'm a reese's fiend, and I NEED to make this Smiley

It reminds me of a really good pie I used to make. Mix peanut butter with chocolate ice cream, put it in a graham cracker shell, and stick it in the freezer Smiley

Oh gosh, I'm hungry now...

The apple scrumpties look really yummy - I love apple cakes but I've not found a really good recipe yet. Any tips?
