So.. I can do like the basic.. straight.. chain like crochet thing I guess you could say? I can do like scarves and blankets and easy stuff like that but I'm kind of wanting to move on to something like a hat or whatever [to go with all them scarves!] but I have NO idea where to start.. I've tried to look some stuff up but it makes me so confused.. lol

Does anyone have any tips or anything for me? I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks  Smiley

maybe you should look at a few tutorials about crocheting on the round, that would help get you started on hats, amigurumis and this kind of thing. this one is linked on the crochet FAQ: http://barney.gonzaga.edu/~aburton/crochrnd.html
and the faq itself: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=67287.0

you can also look at Crochet Pattern Central ( http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory.php ) they have some pretty simple hat patterns there and I think some links to some tutorials. depending on what stitches you can do you could also look at nexstitch ( http://www.nexstitch.com/Tutorials.html ) for some stitch help if you need it.

Other than scarves, what type of stuff were you wanting to make?

like hats, maybe an amigurumi if I'm feeling brave.. lol.

btw, thanks for the sites you guys have posted. they've helped some Smiley I think I need to find a video on how to do the round thing. the videos for all the other techniques I picked up in a heartbeat.. it's so much easier if I can watch someone do it. sadly they don't have a video for on the round =[
