Hi Cabin:
Your bag turned out really cute! I have added regular yarn to my plarn projects before and it does allow your crocheting to go a bit easier on the hands. It gives your work a smoother, softer texture too. I'm working on a dishcloth/pot scrubber idea right now where you use plarn and cotton together for handy dishcloth that has scrubbing power.
