Nope, the patterns are not in chart form on the tunic. On row 9 in the back and I am cruising along....

Okay, sorry to be so chatty but I want to keep you guys updated as I work my way through this. For the "shape armhole" sections, you work even until row 2 of the THIRD rep of Center Cable has been worked. I looked at the math and that is the point where both sets of cables line up. If you do it on the second rep, both sets of cables will be messed up.

omg..  I just saw the 1st post for this thread.  Those sweaters are GORGEOUS.  Too bad I just restarted my yarn diet.. and I don't have a sweater's worth of yarn in my stash.
I'll have to keep these in mind for next year.   Grin

I'm still waiting for my yarn Sad its GGH cumba in light grey - a merino/alpaca/acrylic blend which they've just released. I bought it from germany and there's a postal strike going on here so i think i'll be waiting a while...

I think this will be my first cable project.  I like the look of the victoria secret sweater a bit better actually  -  so I might go for something similar.  Can't wait to see this finished on someone (other than a skinny VS model type).

Those who are knitting....does it seem like a fairly fast project?

No. It will take a long time. Seriously. Even Lion Brand calls it "experienced."

I started with the first yoke on Friday and finished it early Sunday. Last night I got through about 26 rows of the back. It's moving at a fair pace. The biggest problem (and time sucker) is trying to decipher the pattern. I have already found two really big mistakes I have had to work my way through and who knows what else I will find.
