There is a knit pattern for a pig in a book called The Children's Year - completely forgot about it until now! I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to figure out wings to add!
Good Luck! Selkie

Yay for the hippie pig!  I was going to be stubborn and only make him in pink, but I think now that I might make a yellow one for my cousin's new baby.  Now...to wing or not to wing......

I remember somwhere on this thread someone said they were going to put a rattle inside a piggie for a baby toy. How cute is that? I would suggest no wings for a baby, though. I'd hate for the little person to rip them off and choke by accident...

The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.

Plastic Easter eggs are easy to find right now, and make great stuffed-in-the-tummy rattles (with a bit of glue, of course)....

And darn you! I NEVER expected to Ever want to crochet a stuffed animal, but you may have make it necessary!

I just had to show off the Pigs Now Fly pig made by my mother:

I kept going on about how I needed to learn to crochet just to make some of these pigs, and of course she went and made one in just one evening, after not crocheting for about thirty years!! And she didn't even follow myloveasdeep's pattern because she wasn't sure of all the English abbreviations. Roll Eyes

Needless to say, I still haven't learnt to crochet.

Myloveasdeep- Your idea was so great, I had to try one myself.  I used a sport weight merino wool and really couldnt use your pattern at all because my yarn was way too light, but it came out nice, and your idea was so sweet and whimsical! thanks for the inspiration!
