I made this for a friend's daughter a few months ago.  It was made to go (not really match) with the cherry blossom crib set sold at Target.
You can see it here: http://g-ec2.images-amazon.com/images/I/51CN3MJ95TL._SS384_.jpg

This was my first time "designing" my own pattern.  I stuck to a pretty basic idea, just two repeating squares.  But, man, was it hard calculating how much fabric I would need for each square, then how much I would need for the whole quilt once I had the design down...  I give props to the quilters who do that all of the time.

Here's the front:

And part of the back:

Ooh, what a pretty quilt! And amazing for working without a pattern! Major props to you, Klum. I love the pink and green  Smiley

I really love your quilt!  The color and block combination is just wonderful!
The neighbor blocks combine to make a cool design!

Beautiful.

What's really amazing about the color and design choices, is that from a distance, the squares don't look like squares at all, but hexagons instead!  THAT is so cool.

Wow, that is beautiful. I love the contrasting colours and the simple pattern. Nice work on the quilting.
