While my 7 yo was sick yesterday, I did a marathon session on an afghan that will be a Christmas present.  Needless to say my hand started to cramp.  Then all of a sudden it hit me how to make an easy handle for my hook to reduce the cramping. FIMO clay!  Here is a pic.  I put a glob on the handle then started crocheting with it to get it to fit my hand, then baked it to harden it when I was comfortable with the grip.  It may not be real pretty, but is much more comfortable.  I will be doing this with all of my hooks now!

Thats a great idea-- I always get crampy hands--- i even tend to use bigger hooks to avoid it, but you cant use big hooks for everything!
