Only two things to show this time, so thankfully this isn't going to be some crazy img heavy post.

So first thing is this tuxedo dress that I made.  I had this dress in my head for awhile and with Christmas and special occasions coming up, I decided it was the right time to finally make it.  So I drafted the pattern and I'm so happy that it came out exactly as I imagined it Smiley  It is an a-line dress with a scoop neckline, framed with a row of black ruffles. Then there is a faux undershirt inset. I made it button up with pin tucks and lace ruffles. There is also a button on each sleeve. To girly it up a little more, I put lace at the bottom of the dress.

I also made the black cumberbund. It has a bow on it and it closes with 2 rows of hooks and eyes which are hiding behind the bow.

Now onto my comic book dress.  I have had this comic book cotton knit fabric for awhile and I've been really wanting to use it, but have been waiting to figure out what style it wanted to be.  Finally I figured it out and I have to say that I really love it and am glad that I finally was able to sew it up.

Dream on, but don't imagine they'll all come true

It's a charmed life, innocence wild, crayola skies for a thousand miles

I know I'm who I am today because I knew you

I love the neckline on the comic book dress, its really unusual and sits really well with the rest of the dress.

First, the model is adorable!

Second I love the comic book dress, the neckline is quite amazing.

Lastly, I ADORE that tuxedo dress. At first I was trying to figure out a way to make it for my niece, but really I want one for myself.
