I am so pleased with myself! I've been in the scarf stage for what seemed like forever. And recently I took up the idea of going to a bigger and better project. I made an afghan for my husband who had no objections to it being purple. So here it is!

As you can tell my husband was oh so thrilled to be having his picture taken at almost 12 AM after a long hard day. But at least he is enjoying his blanket.  Grin

This is by far the largest project I have ever done!

I love the colors! Good job on the blanket! What kind of yarn did you use? It looks so soft and cuddly. Great hubby too, for not objecting to purple or having his pic taken! :p

Thanks! I used Lion Brand Homespun. Approx. 2 skeins for each color. I'm obsessed with that yarn.

I think it took like two weeks to do? I can't really remember. I was totally dedicated for a couple days in a row where I did nothing but knit, and then I hit a snag where I didn't want to finish it because I was getting so tired of K8, P8.  Roll Eyes So it kind of drug on. It might have taken longer. But like I said, I'm not for sure. I flew thru the first two colors.

How lovely! Those colors are so pretty together. My husband keeps asking for a blanket, too. I'm going to attempt to make him one for Xmas, but I think it'll probably take me a lot longer than two weeks.

I just started knitting and am in the scarf stage, while my girlfriend has moved on to hats. Awesome jobs, it looks so soft!

Darling, I can see the clouds around you
And in your heart I know a sorrow grows
But if you weep I'll be right here to hold you
'Til each tear you cry becomes a rose

I haven't made a hat yet. I tried working on some leg warmers last night but couldn't understand the pattern. I got frustrated and unraveled my work and started working on something else.  Roll Eyes
