It's just a simple block quilt with taggies. I made on for my cousin and my mother promptly decided she needed one for my little brother too. I embroidered his name and some tropical themes on some of the blocks cause we live on an island. The back is flannel and the blocks are made of all different kinds of fabric(fleece, terry cloth, some silky fabrics and some cottons). Its meant to be more of a play mat than a blanket but it works as both.

Awwwww!  Wotta hip baby!

Love the quilt and especially the embroidery.  If I had that quilt as a baby it would be my all time favorite possession!

Thats awesome! Forgive my ignorance, but do the taggies serve a purpose or just for decoration?

the taggies are for playing with. some of them are ribbon the others are different kinds of trim-y stuff and ric-rak. theyre suppose to be "stimulating" i think. over on the baby shower board theyre really popular and i put them on the quilt i made for my 6 month old cousin and she really liked them so i added them.

What a great job. The embroidery details are wonderful and I really like the backing fabric.

I love the monkey backing fabric!  Also good to know the purpose of the taggies, I might add them to a couple quilts that I am making.
