I'm driving from winnipeg to check out your craft stores and ikea, too.
What do you recommend? I'll definitely be checking out SR Harris Fabrics.

Also, does any one have any suggestions for a really fun dance club in the bloomington area? Anyone want to come dancing with my friend and I on saturday?

We went to bootleggers. It was ok, but I wish there was more dance music and less of the band that played. It was more of a bar than a club, but we didn't know. The drink specials were pretty good, though!
Any recommends in case I make it back there?

Plans are made and the hotel is booked! I'm coming back Minnesotans!
We had such a fun time last time, we're coming back for more shopping and dancing!
I bought oodles of yarn last time and this time I'm looking for fabric.
Any thoughts on which fabric stores are worth a look?
Also, we can't have a girls weekend away with no dancing, so I'm also looking for recommendations for a dance club around the bloomington area, so we don't have to spend all our drinking money on a cab!
We'll be in town September 5th to the 8th, so if you want to come dancing as well, I'd love to meet some fellow craftsters there!
Yay Minneapolis!

Here's a good thread for shopping: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=234871.0  Let us know if you discover anything we've missed!

Treadle Yard Goods, Crafty Planet and SR Harris are all really outstanding in my opinion. As far as dancing, i'm kinda useless in that dept I'm afraid, but I bet someone here will have an idea. Depending on what you're into there are often good bands playing here. Pick up a City Pages for details when you arrive! The light rail goes from the MOA to downtown if you are staying in Bloomington. NE (where Crafty Planet is) and St Paul (Treadle) are a lttle bit trickier. There are lots of good museums, parks, and restaurants too if that's your cup-o-tea!
I'm glad you like it here!  Smiley

Post on the meetup thread, too, maybe we can have a little Craftster get-together while you're here!
