This... thing... was my first ever FO.  I've started many a scarf before, but this was the first thing I ever finished.  And it's a long story...

So... My friend Kira has... interesting tastes in clothing.  Most of her wardrobe was either self-made or reconstructed.  (Which is never really a bad thing)

She saw me knitting a scarf, and immediately told me to put down the scarf and make her a shirt.  So I did.
The colors are for our sorority colors.  The design is purely Shakira.

...The thing also has the unexpected ability to magnify whatever it's stretched over.  ...In this case my chest.   This caused several of my other friends to request one.

The specs, if anyone *really* wants to know

Yarn:  el Cheapo Red Heart Super Saver in...purple?
Lion Brand Fun Fur in... some sort of baby duck yellow.

Needles:  Size US 13 circs.

The halter strap and ties in the back (yes, it ties in the back) are braided.  If I ever make another, I would make sturdier straps.

You mean you aren't really FFF? Magnifying times 10, lol

It's really cute, though. I would love one, but my belly's not in shape yet. I love the combination of textures, though. The Red Heart is mostly for modesty in my mind, anyways. Ever worn a Fun Fur scarf? It's hole-y.

nope, I'm totally a B, if that gives you an idea of how much it magnifies.

I wasn't really all that "in shape" either, when I took this pic.  I just sucked it in for all I was worth.

I can certainly see the magnifying effect. It looks really tactile too.  Wink
It's outrageous and funky and fun.
