Hi.

This is the first challenge I've ever entered. When I saw it, I thought "Wow! What an awesome idea!!!" So I got cracking!!!!!
So I made a dress out of monopoly money!!! It was a lot of work, but I think it was worth it!!!
I started by spreading out a big sheet of contact. I then carefully stuck the colourful side of the monopoly money onto the contact. I ended up with a big sheet of monopoly money 'fabric'.
Then, I made a corset pattern to fit me. I cut out the pieces from the monopoly money 'fabric' and sewed them together.
Here are some pics of what it looked like at this stage

I then took a long time (a
seriously long time) making strips of monopoly money with more contact.
Then I sewed all the strips, plus the lining i'd made out of plain white cotton, onto the corset part of the dress. Lastly, I put bias binding on the top, and sewed little tabs onto the back for the ribbon.
I made the purse basically the same way I made the dress, with more contact!!! The necklace is made with rolled up monopoly money and the car piece.
Ok, onto the pics!!!!

What do you think??? My mum thinks it's a bit inappropriate for a 14 year old to be wearing, but it's a costume!!! It's not like I'm going to wear it to school or anything....

I hope you guys like it!!!! Tell me what you think!!!!

And don't forget to vote between the 6th and 12th!!!!

Thanks.
