I know this is not what anyone is expecting... but I have had this in mind ever since I got saved (which has been awhile) and I thought it would be great to illustrate it... And what is more "Vintage" than the Bible??!!

I hate what photobucket does to my pictures!  Cry It does look better in person!

I'm not entering the challenge this time for various reasons, I just wanted to make this card  Smiley

This is great work -- I think people are afraid to be themselves with scripture -- afraid it will trivialize the Word.  Like that could happen!  Did you do this with a piece of software or freehand?

So spooky.... perfect for Halloween.
Thanks! Thatis exactly the effect I was going for!

Did you do this with a piece of software or freehand?
I painted the background with acrylics (I was going for spooky, foreboding, stormy) and then scanned it. I painted a little of the stuff in paint shop pro and altered some clip art for the rest.
I'm glad you guys like it  Grin

Thanks chihuahuamom and panthermoon!
beautiful artwork! I love black and white

I love black and white too - but I usually put some color in there - This is my first totally monochromatic card. It was a challenge to make everything so dark and black and not turn into a dark blob!

I agree about adding a color, usually... my first thought would be to add red or orange as it's Halloween, but then I love black and red together. In this case though I like it as it is

and you got some of my favorite things in there ... trees and spiders Cheesy
