How am I not myself?

I want to do this after Christmas, when I may have some money or gift certificates for yarn . . . I'm planning on doing it two solid colors, instead of the variegated. But I can never tell until I am safely home from the store.

I'm in love with this design but am having a hard time deciding how to make it work for me. I usually don't like bulky yarns for sweaters for myself because I'm a medium sized girl with big boobies. So I'm trying to imagine what this would look like. And trying to imagine a color scheme that would work well.

What yarns/colors do you have in mind?

I myself am a medium-sized girl. Unfortunately my boobies are only medium-sized.
I think I'm going to use either a bit deeper purple and a dusky gray, or black on the bottom and solid white on the top.
As far as yarn goes, I haven't researched yet. I was thinking of using a boucle held with another yarn for the top bit, maybe in slightly different shades of the same color, to recreate the variegated thing. I really hate working with variegated yarn for some reason.
Black on the ribbing and white on the top would create the illusion of an hourglass figure, I think. I hope.

Erindezeeuw, I guess the grass is always greener on the other side... I think this would look perfect on a gal who had a medium sized bust.

I really want to try it out, though, and I think after the holidays I might try harder to find the perfect yarn combo. Keep us posted when you find something you like!

I agree that white on top and black ribbing would make a nice silouette!

I was just looking at this today and thinking maybe I could pull it off-it didn't seem too complicated. It is really pretty. I'm really thinking of trying a sweater after xmas. Sounds good.
I wonder if it would look okay on a girl with little boobies... Roll Eyes

Okay . . . after deliberating all day I've decided on the black and white for sure. I'm wondering if chenille would look good for the white? I'm going to start this just after Christmas . . . when I get some dolla dolla bills . . .
