IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO THE ORGANIZERS VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

How This Swap Works:
Please READ CAREFULLY! This swap works differently than most!

Try to imagine a chain.  The first link is the first person whose wish list is on page 1 (Person A) - that will be the craftster member who was the very last wish list from ongoing wish swap 26.

Now, we want to put another link in the chain.  People will read that list and see if there is something they want to/can make from the list.

Someone (Person B) will claim Person A for some item on their wish list.  They post a reply to the thread that says I claim Person A for [item].  This is my X claim (however many times they have picked someone for example, "this is my fourth wish, with one sent, and three received, (meaning that this is the fourth claim they've made, one is in transit to it's destination, and three of the items have been received by the people they previously claimed).  Also add your location, and any preferences or aversions I live in Wisconsin USA, I am a vegetarian, and I am allergic to wool.

IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU REPLY WITH YOUR STATUS WHEN YOU CLAIM SOMEONE!  This means you need to post who you are claiming and for what, how many claims you have made, including how many in transit and how many received, and your location/preferences/aversions.

Then comes the fun part!  After the introduction, Person B is the last link in the chain, and they post their wish list!!!  YOU CAN HAVE AS MANY ITEMS ON YOUR WISH LIST AS YOU WANT, HOWEVER YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF SIX.  THE MORE ITEMS YOU LIST, THE BETTER YOUR CHANCES OF BEING CLAIMED QUICKLY.

(Please have your list ready, this swap moves very quickly!  Please include your country at the start of your wish list). Person B will also PM Person A to get her address so they can mail the item when it is finished.

Along comes Person C, who claims Person B for something on their list and the chain is built, link by link.  (If Person C wanted to make Person B a purse AND a stuffie, that would still count as ONE WISH.)  Then they post their list, and so on.

When you want to make a claim, you can ONLY pick from the very last wish list in the chain.  You can't pick anyone else in the chain - you can only connect to the very end of the chain, which is that last wish list posted.

After you have made your claim, you need to PM that person for their address.

Friends of Craftster are allowed 3 wishes at one time, others are allowed 2 wishes.  If this is your first swap, you are only allowed one wish until your craft is received.  Do not choose over your given limit.
Become a Friend of Craftster!  Go here: http://www.craftster.org/subscribe.php

If you are at your limit of wishes, you can choose again once one of your partners receives, NOT when you send.
***Do not claim someone unless you can fulfill that wish to a high caliber***

Let's keep the quality high here. I don't want to receive PMs with people concerned over the lack of quality of their items.  Please, just work your hardest to keep the bar high on the quality of items here!  Don't choose just for the sake of choosing; choose to make someone else a really AWESOME wish!

Now if the thread gets in a rut for a few days/hours, the person who made the last wish should add to their list if they can think of anything else, until someone decides to craft for them.
Unsure of where to find wish ideas?  Try the previous ongoing wish swap galleries or any other gallery on craftster.  Look through your fellow crafters wist lists.

Sending/Communicating/Feedback:
YOU HAVE TWO WEEKS TO GET YOUR ITEM OUT THE DOOR.

Please be communicative if you are having any issues. If you communicate you still need to send your item in a timely manner.  Communication does not mean you can send as late as you want.  After one week past the deadline you will have negative feedback.  This is only temporary as it will be changed back once you fulfill your obligation for late item(s).  Do not choose to craft an item if you do not think you can meet these deadlines.

THERE WILL BE FEEDBACK FOR THIS SWAP
I will be giving feedback in the following way:
-  great swapper: for those who follow all the rules
-  good/poor communication:  where applicable
-  sent late/early: where applicable
-  no dc number: failed to comply with the rule about using a delivery confirmation number for packages within your own country
- didn't post pictures: failed to post pictures of what they received without an adequate explanation to their partner

This is gavagai's list from round 26.

I am 30 and I live in Sweden with my boyfriend and four teletubbies.   Well, right now I live in a boarding room at the school where I just started a one year crafting course! (or textile arts or whatever you want to call it; we sew and crochet and weave and so on the whole day, and it's great!) We're moving to a flat soon. Oh, and there's a third family member on its way (or, well, seventh if you count the teletubbies  ).

Top wish right now

Lightscribe cds/dvds for me to lightscribe on. Would love different colours! Can't get them here.

I am especially looking for crafting supplies of different kinds, among others these (that I can't get or have had trouble finding here)...

Bobby pins with a plate to glue things to, something like this: https://www.rings-things.com/cgi-bin/hazel/hazel.cgi?action=detail&item=30-822-1

Silver or silver plated/gold plated wire, thinner than 0.4 mm (maybe someone can translate this into American standard?)

Joints for making dolls/teddybears, to fasten arms and legs to make them movable (preferably not too big)

Flat metal things with a loop (preferably silver/gold or silver/gold plated) to fasten on the back of for example a marble to make it into a pendant. Something like this: https://www.rings-things.com/cgi-bin/hazel/hazel.cgi?action=detail&item=49-455-3  Ideally either 10mm or 20mm square, but also interested in other sizes.

book with fun/cute Japanese sewing and/or crochet patterns

Yarn in different colours to make amigurumis (acrylic or cotton is good or other yarn that may be suitable)

Chunky fun yarn (something that looks a bit different in one way or another).

Strange colour (other than white or transparent) shrinky dinks (I think there is a black kind); I would really prefer the "shrinky dink" brand!

Crafting/Sewing themed metal charms (like scissors or something, to be used for making jewelry).

Gold plated chain to make necklaces and other jewelry.

Silver plated finger rings with a large plate (1.5-2 cm?) with sides (will try to find a link to make it less confusing) for crafting jewelry.

Kit for making animals and other creatures/decoration from beads, things like these: http://www.beadjewelrymaking.com/browse_all.html but maybe not too complex ones to start with, since Im a beginner.

A kit for some kind of craft I haven't tried yet. Feel free to PM me about that.

Glass thingies, especially ones with holes in them:
http://www.wholesalersusainc.com/hand-glass-shapes-rectangles-holes-40pcs-p-1325.html
Other glass shapes on the same site are also as interesting, and coloured square marbles also... Just different shaped glass thingies to put pictures behind really... and/or coloured ones for rings:
http://www.plainmabel.com/ckshop.php?item=1168&ret=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.plainmabel.com%2Fckshop.php%3Fpage%3D1%26category%3D4
(I already have enough of the "normal" round transparent ones (that you can buy in flower shops (at least here) though.)

Snap buttons of good quality, preferably bigger and/or ones that you "punch" on (rather than sew or fold those little metal clips thingies) (plastic and/or metal)

Magnetic snaps for making bags.

Handles for making bags

Crochet books or magazines with fun new projects (not to traditional stuff). I like "Crochet today". I only have the last issue (september-october 2007) so far. Please ask me before you send a crochet book, since I have a few (not many) already and might have the one you want to send.

Craft books/magazines in general with fun new projects (not too traditional stuff) (in English or German or with easy-to-follow pictures (well, Swedish is good as well  )

And of course anything from my evergrowing wist.

Please no food/candy!

Okay, I'll start this round off by claiming gavagai for:

Yarn in different colours to make amigurumis (acrylic or cotton is good or other yarn that may be suitable)

This is my 1st claim!

I live in Alberta, Canada.  I am 42 and mostly a stay-at-home Mom (I have a casual job).  I home school my youngest son (the oldest is finished school!)  My favorite crafts at the moment are quilting and crochet although I've dabbled in many other crafts over the years.  I have a fairly short list and if it stalls this, I promise to try and add more.

My biggest wishes are #1 and #2 but, of course, you are welcome to claim any of them  Grin

1.  I want to make my youngest son a quilt and so I'm starting to collect GREEN cotton fabric - please nothing too girly and it can be any color GREEN except for mint - at least a FQ/piece, please.

2.  I may have come up with a different idea for above said quilt so I'm going to start collecting other colors as well.  I would like BLUE (brighter rather than darker), PURPLE (again, on the brighter side) and RED.  Nothing too girly and at least a FQ/piece, please.

3.  Each season I decorate my house in a different theme and my Summer collection is in desperate need of more items.  For summer I have flowers (anything but tulips and sunflowers) and little boys (doing fun summer activities) - so if you paint, draw, cross stitch or embroider and want to make something in these themes, that would be great!

4.  Thread (general purpose, no cotton) in any color

Two non-craft related wishes:

5.  I think I have a watch fetish and would like to add at least one more to my collection - I am looking for a watch with an orange strap - doesn't have to be expensive, just orange.

6.  A box full of gum - you wouldn't believe the amout of gum my family chews in a week and any contribution would be appreciated.  We usually just chew sugar-less but a few packs of regular is okay.

7.  Of course, you can always check my small wist list.

8.  Time to think of hubby again.  He got 2 great t-shirts from Craftster members last year and has worn them lots so I thought I'd ask for more.  His favorite themes are Coke and the characters from M&M's.  A stencilled (or any other method you can think of) t-shirt (men's large or x-large if it seems on the smaller side) with one of those themes would be wonderful.

I claim *Maria* for some embroidery hoops and thread. This is my first claim.

Hi! Im CrossStitchinMomma and Im live in Tennessee (USA). Im a married 25 year old SAHM of one. Im originally from England so any British candy (if youd like to know what types please PM me!) would be welcome as I cant get it over here! I love anything to do with Victorian or Tudor England. I love to knit. I know how to cross stitch but it generally takes a long time and I like finishing things quickly. I just bought a computerized sewing machine but it is super intimidating to me so I havent really used it yet but Id love to learn how to sew. Anything from my wist would be great too!!!

Supplies:

Knitting:

Some skeins of any soft good quality yarn you can find (my favorite colors are black, purple and I like the rainbow colored yarns too but any color will do as long as its not turquoise, yellow, orange or anything neon yuck!)
Id like to learn how to knit cables so some cable knitting supplies would be great.
As always needles are great! I LOVE bamboo knitting needles!!! I bought a pair of bamboo circs and I love them!

Sewing:

I love retro/vintage style fabric.
If you could find anything with British flags on it that would super great.
Anything with Victorian ladies on it would be great too.
I would LOVE anything with Asian stuff or geishas.
Id like some cute hippie/vintage patterns.
Some fleece (black or dark purple preferably) fabric for a cozy blanket!
Rotary cutter
Electric fabric scissors (I think thats what they are calledI saw them somewherethey are like battery operated I think)
Some fabric with four leaf clovers or Ireland (the word Ireland not actually Ireland itself lol) so I can make a purse for my best friend.

Books/Magazines (used is perfectly fine!):
A beginner sewing book with lots of details, diagrams and descriptions! (Im a sewing machine virgin!)
A beginner dressmaking/clothing how to book.
Id like to learn how to crochet so any beginner crochet book.
Knitting on the Edge by Nicky Epstein
Knitting over the Edge by Nicky Epstein
Any Debbie Bliss baby/toddler knitting pattern book
The Summer 2007 Edition of Interweave Knits Magazine
Any funky/hip knitting books like SnB or SnB Nation stuff like that.

Crafted Items:
A Drop-In or Small Purseket (in cute retro fabric or just plain black or purple would be best) - http://www.purseket.com/index.php/cPath/index.php?target=categories&category_id=4
http://www.purseket.com/index.php/cPath/index.php?target=categories&category_id=3

A Union Jack purse (I love this!) http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6799098

Id love just the British Charm (I love this too!) http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6732827

Some black and white photographs of old English churches or houses (preferably the ones made of stone or houses with thatched roofs). I know this one is a long shot but I can dream! Just so you get an idea Id like them all to be relatively uniform because I want a set of 3 to 5 to put in a photograph cluster on my wall. Here are a few examples:

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7122617
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7067967

My son is 2 years old and he loves anything with Bob the Builder. He also loves trucks and motorcycles.

Thanks in advance to anyone who picks anything from my list!!!

I claim bkrenning4 for PMC3.

I'm in Canada and this is my first claim.

Back as soon as I find my list......

Crafted Stuff

*Wind chime - silver-y or bronze-y or both-y, no bright colours please.
*Pillow covers, any size, any medium no yellow or turquoise, otherwise I like all the colours.
*Stuffies/amigurumis suitable for including with the baby blankets I am currently making for a million showers.  I have no patience for those fiddly little things.  Do you?  P.S.  A moose for my sister's brand new baby would be perfection.
*Project Journal 3 Ring Binder Style.
*Fabric headbands like the ones I see all over Craftster.
*A cool pen/pencil holder for my desk.

Crafting Stuff

*Embroidery patterns, floss, things to embroider on (especially pillow cases), hoops.  Im a beginner so almost anything would be great.
*Soy wax for candle making.  Prefer the "solid" but would accept the chopped up/grated/whatever version too.  Candle colours and fruit fragrances would also be well appreciated.
*Crochet afghan patterns, particularly baby afghan patterns.  I'm addicted.
*Buttons, beads and ribbons.  I de-stashed, obviously while on crack and now I am bereft and those selfish Brownies won't give anything back!
*Fabric markers.
*Garbage/wrecked CDs and DVDs.  In my head I'm making a really cool light sculpture for my new house.  In reality I needs thousands more of the things, can you help?
*I want to make a large rag rug.  Do I know how to do such a thing?  No, but I assume it requires rags of a sort.  I would like strips of fabric in shades of brown from chocolate to caf au lait.
*Candy molds - on the large side for actual candy making .
*Small artist brushes.
*Polymer clay and directions how to use it, particularly for crochet hook handles.
*Beginner knitter stuff, especially socks.

Random Awesome Stuff

*Colouring books/page, because although I cant draw even a rectangle and make it recognizable, I am a fantastic colourer.
*In this vein, I would never say no to new crayons, pencil crayons or markers.  Sharpies!
*Interweave Crochet magazine, old issues, pre-Fall 2005, any old issues of Crochet! or Crochet World magazines.
*Book - Not Your Mama's Crochet.
*Sheet music.  If its not my style/instrument Ill use it for a decoupage project idea.
*Coffees and teas from oh-so-foreign lands (aka anywhere that isnt small town Canada)
*Recipes (index cards) for your favourite sweet things to eat.  I may not be a yarn snob, but I am a baking snob, so nothing that uses "cake mixes" or other packaged crap please.

*Surprise me!  I live in Northern Canada, winter is coming, warm things are good.  I have an entire new house to decorate and furnish, house stuff is good.  I have a dirt coloured truck, help make it prettier.  I hate my job with a passion, well I guess there's nothing you can do about that unless someone would like to give me a couple million dollars so I could quit?

*I dont have a wist yet.  I suppose I should get one of those?

About Me

I still don't have many posts yet or a wist, so this will be on the longish side for better swap stalking possibilities.

Hi, Im Allison, a 30-whatever year this is (7??) year old hermit from the wilds of Ontario.  Seriously, I have more deer and bears visit than people, and Im okay with that.  I have two large dogs and three cats that think they are dogs.  These days my primary craft is crochet, though in winter I get the kiln going (sometimes just for extra heat) and play with ceramics.  Ive been known to make a quilt.  I dabble in stained glass and mosaic.  Knit badly, sew badly, embroider in theory.  My woodworking shop is bigger than my house, but Ive gotten away from that lately.  Speaking of that house, Im building a new one and its driving me crazy.    I have trouble remember to take pictures of FOs, but  I finally have a digital camera, its around here somewhere.  I have the attention span of a gnat.

I love nature and animals (except when theyre eating my garden or ripping open the garbage bin), music and books.  I love the idea of babies (which is why Im a fantastic baby shower guest) but would sooner chew off my own arm than have one.  I dont have a favourite colour, though I do believe that yellow is best used sparingly and bright turquoise is a tool of the devil.  I refuse to acknowledge the existence of neons.  I hate to wear socks but would like to learn to knit them.  Im allergic to most metal and dont wear jewelry.  I don't have a sweet tooth but I'm addicted to coffee, gum and potato chips.  I never use a sentence when I can use an entire paragraph.  Also, Im only marginally computer literate but Im working on it.

Thanks in advance to whoever claims me.
