well, i haven't posted anything in a while, mostly due to fo's that i've been less than happy with, but here is one that i'm damn pleased about!  i made this as a gift for a new mom to be, obviously, and it was a pretty quick knit with 10 1/2 needles and bernat acrylic yarn.  i backed it with purple flannel sewn on by machine and then hand tied every four inches.  i was pleasantly surprised with how very soft the yarn was after washing!  anyway, without further ado, i present the girly skull baby blanket:

the bird's eye shot on our kitchen table.

artfully placed on the couch so you can see the lining.

omg! that is so stinkin' cute! I'm not that into the skully stuff, but i would totally use that for babies (if i had any, which i don't, yet....) that is an amaizing job. i can never seem to get intarsia so i am in awe of people like you who can do such cool stuff with it!

i'm sure the mommy to be will be thrilled to recieve such a wonderful gift. i can only imagine how much love went into it!

That is unbelievably sweet. I'd better not show this to my sis-in-law... Mum *hates* doing this sort of knitting!  Cheesy
