Just made these as testers for Christmas gifts--- long story short, our family gives gifts to all 15 cousins.  The purple turned out great and I am making wallets to match.  Fabric was a $1 a yard and I need to make six purses.

Now it's onto working on the boys gifts.

Let me know what you all think

Cute!  They'll be a hit.  How does the top close?

i think that's a great idea because that style is so popular these days...what a perfect bag for after school activities, too (sports, dance, etc.)! are you doing them for the boys? i think you could do them for boys as long as you used fabric that suited them.

Those are very popular even at the college level around here. Did you use a pattern?
