Yum!  I want a slab of cake, Ptarmic.  Loves just sent me some brownies, but there's always room for cake...or a wafer thin mint.  LOL.

Strange that there is no bacon there in Spain, Phizzy.  Hang in there.

Well, it is government cake, not sure how good it will be! We usually don't get food, but it is the second anniversary of the creation of our lab, so I guess they got special dispensation....  Roll Eyes

Out here in meat country the grocery sells giant slabs of bacon, I think they are like 10 or maybe 20 lbs.

atusko, you were quick enough to nab the scarf, btw

Ok, off to fight with my fortran once again...

Heehee, this weekend John had the rare opportunity to help the lady who preps food in our gov't cafeteria.  He came back a tad green and with lots of fun tales.  Here's some of the gross things: They boil the eggs for their salads for 1 hour and prep deviled eggs for an entire week, the salad in our salad bar goes back into the fridge overnight and a "smell test" is performed each morning to see if it's ok, and the dispensers are refilled without washing the containers or even waiting till it's empty so there's always some old ketchup in there.  Ugh!

Lunch, anyone?
