I'm in!!!!  Of course, I can tell you now we go out for Chinese and then head home to watch movies.  EVERY YEAR!  Mr. Boo hates to be out this night but is very superstitious about eating Chinese food.  One year we didn't and it was an awful year.

So now he is so serious about it that even in Costa Rica last New Year's Eve we went out for chinese.  Costa Rica!!!!!!!  Funny boy!

I would definitely be into meeting everyone, but only if it IS in the evening!  You know how the day after New Years can be, heh heh.

ellen=> yeah, i will *definitely* be hung over in the a.m.

bonnie=> i remembered where my boyfriend lived in costa rica.  it was san isidro.  have you ever been there?  he said it's a really small place on the west side near platineao(sp?) beach, far south of san jose.

I just posted a query about getting together Saturday morning on the 8th..... I'll be in Denver with my BF for New Years, so I can't make it on the 1st.

Oops - I missed this thread - I'm good for the 8th OR the 1st - either is good for me.  Soccer season is over!  Kaitlin and I are dying to learn to knit.  We even bought a "teach yourself to knit" kit at Barnes and Noble...

rickrackruby---how is that kit working for you?  i had a friend showing me how to knit and i couldn't imagine just reading it in a book -- it seems like a more hands on thing because she would adjust my hands, etc.  if it's a good one, i think i'll check it out!

So, I feel compelled to be the pushy planner, comes from years of event planning, but if we plan to meet on Saturday we should pick a time and place.......ASAP.

I would like to suggest a different coffee bar since GoldBar can get busy on a Saturday and I don't want outdoor seating.

So I suggest the following maybe meeting at the Paisley Violin in Central Phoenix?  Or Coffee Talk in downtown Mesa.   And perhaps 6:30-ish?

As soon as we have a better idea or more concrete plan, I'll post another thread with all the relevant info.

I assume we are planning to bring our sig. others aka craftster widows!?!??!

Also, what is the word on meeting up for First Friday in January, which would be Friday, Jan 7?
