I made this for my hubby to wear at Burning Man. Originally everyone thought it was a penguin but eventually they learned it was a puffin and he was a bit of a celebrity.

I used a huge stuffed animal from the Goodwill, chopped off it's head and taped it to a bike helmet also from the Goodwill. Then I removed the stuffing from the body, made armholes, sliced it up the middle and gave it some Velcro. Just in time for Halloween ideas!

I have always wanted to go to Burning Man.  This is awesome.  I am going to keep a lookout for stuffed animals I can decapitate now!

I was keeping my eye out for a puffin all week but didn't see him! Where were you camped?

We were at 6:30 and Arctic, a camp of fire dancers. You can see their stage in this awesome panorama image at http://pic.templetons.com/cgi-bin/imget?f=brad/pano/midpano/sec50_cropped_1.jpg

Basically move the bar to the center of the page and you'll see a clearing with a little stage and a dome behind it. We were very close to center camp. I looked for your pasties but the only pasty-wearing was by our neighbor with the tie dye curtain! Hope you had a blast!
