I'm in love with both of these patterns!
Here's an action shot of my shawl taking flight:

And all wrapped up because the alpaca yarn is super warm:

This is the Flower Petal shawl from Elann.com and I used the recommended yarn, Elann.com Peruvian Pure Alpaca. The yarn was a little fuzzy and tended to shed on me a bit as I was knitting the shawl, but having a soft and warm shawl at the end was totally worth it.

It also drapes beautifully:

And I made a Calorimetry!

I used Noro Kureyon. Now I can see why everyone loves their Calorimetry so much, it is a really good pattern and super fast to knit.

Thanks for looking!

I LOVE that shawl.

If all our life is but a dream, fantastic posing greed
Then we should feed our jewelry to the sea
For diamonds do appear to be
Just like broken glass to me.

The northern downpour sends its love.
I swear to the stars... I'll burn this whole city down

The shawl is gorgeous! I've been wanting to make a shawl. I love the rasta-like colors of the Calorimetry. It's the cutest one I've seen.
