I'm in love with both of these patterns!
Here's an action shot of my shawl taking flight:


And all wrapped up because the alpaca yarn is super warm:


This is the Flower Petal shawl from Elann.com and I used the recommended yarn, Elann.com Peruvian Pure Alpaca. The yarn was a little fuzzy and tended to shed on me a bit as I was knitting the shawl, but having a soft and warm shawl at the end was totally worth it.

It also drapes beautifully:


And I made a Calorimetry!


I used Noro Kureyon. Now I can see why everyone loves their Calorimetry so much, it is a really good pattern and super fast to knit.

i too knit the flower petal shawl. but i gave it away before i could snap pics with all the ends wove in... i like yours alot. i did mine in a finer gauge yarn so its smaller.. but its so light. it was supposed to be for a wedding but i didnt get it finished in time Sad but she loved it anyways...

and your calorimetry is beautiful Noro rocks the world.

The shawl is gorgeous! I've been wanting to make a shawl. I love the rasta-like colors of the Calorimetry. It's the cutest one I've seen.
