my mom started wrapping shower gifts in receiving blankets ages ago and it's rubbed off on me.  she used to use diaper pins to close the corners (instead of tape), i just tie the blanket like a stork's bundle.  in the photo above i added a rattle as a bow.

That's a really cute idea!  I feel silly for not thinking of it.   Tongue

There are tons of plastic linky things used for attaching toys that could hold the knot together.  You could also use a pacifier clip as a bow.  Or make a bow out of a few baby washcloths tied in the middle.  Hmm... ideas!
