Hey everyone!  I can't believe that once again I'm starting the Fiber Friday!  this week i'm kind of cheating too, because I only have something knitted from my handspun, and something on my bobbin:

on the bobbin, burning embers.  its pretty thin, but I plan on navajo plying this and making into sock yarn.  sorry about the pics, i couldn't for the life of me get one with really good lighting.

hurry up spring armwarmers from SnB Nation.  unfortunately you can't really make out all the fun cabling because the yarn is pretty darn busy, but i can't help myself i just love knitting cables.

its funny, but normally I'm a cool-colors kind of person.  but for some reason, i really like spinning warm colors (at least, so it seems from the above examples).  i think because they are so cheerful and upbeat, it is wonderful to see them slip through my fingers.

I've been trying to get some UFOs finished because I'm going to be starting the Secret of the Stole next week.  Thats probably all the knitting I will get done between now and the end of November, when the last clue is given.

lets see those yarns!

This is what I've got for this week. Ive got about 300+ yards on the bobbin at home but I think I want to ply it with some gold thread, so no pics of that yet.

This is the first yarn I spinned (spun?) on my new wheel (lendrum DT. I dont think I could love an inanimate object more than I do this wheel): 262 yards of natural colored coopworth

this is about 182 yards of some domestic blend hand dyed roving i bought from traveling rhinos at Renegade. I loved the roving and I think I love the yarn even more! its just... wonderful. And Im so proud because this is quite possibly the most even Ive spun ever.

Despite the fact that I'm majoring in English, I can never remember that one. It like knit/knitted (though that one bothers me because it is most definitely knit).

Everything looks great so far!

Betzi I love the armwarmers, too cool!

Grayling the colors in that romney are fantastic!

Vanilla both look great, I am partial to coopworth myself and will be buying a fleece or two someday.  Not the softest, but excellent to spin with and it just has such character in it.

Star the soysilk looks fantastic and so do the socks.  I am planning on spinning up my first sock yarns and am a bit nervous about it, LOL!

Here are my two contributions for this week!

Girl Gothic--100 yards of my first "art yarn".  Fiber is from HollyEQQ's Batty Babes Club, last month's batt: wool, mohair, angelina, romney, BFL and silk noils, spun on my Lendrum ST, worsted to super bulky with novelty add ins.  It is so soft & sparkly, photos do it no justice at all.

Sea Goddess--192 yards, worsted to bulky weight, 3oz.  Fiber is Falklands Wool, Fine Merino Top, Wool/Mohair, Purple and Green Sparkle fibers and Glitz from TerraBellaSpun on Etsy, spun on my Lendrum ST.

I also have awesome news, my new wheel, a Majacraft Rose will be here on Monday!!!!!  I ordered it yesterday, how's that for quick shipping?  I am so excited.  Finally a DT for me, I love my Lendrum, but the ST was killing my hip because I only worked the one side, hopefully this will help it out a bit, along with the surgery sometime next year.  Smiley
