How is that for a title!? My very first felting project, which I adapted from a non-felting project that I basically doubled in size- since it is a clutch, it didn't matter. I had read that half double crochet is great for felting...I have nothing to compare it to, but it worked great.  And made a great foundation for a little bead embroidery- no thread shows on the reverse.  I used 50%llama 50%merino, and it felted great- this is two trips through the washing machine.  The llama makes it kind of furry, but not too much, either.  In the photo it is easier to tell it is crocheted than in person- in person, it looks like...felt.
