These are two birthday presents for friends of mine:

This is a bag, before weaving in ends, etc. the text says "Suck it bitches" with some vertical lines between start and finish. The lines were meant to be a checkerboard pattern but I kinda messed that up. The pattern around the top didn't photograph well, but they're upside down hearts.

This is a scarf for a friend who is a history buff, the quote is from William Clark of Lewis&ClarkTM upon very nearly reaching the Pacific Ocean complete with waky nineteenth centure misspellings (sp?) and punctuation. The words are chenille knit seperately and then stitched onto the wool scarf. The part with no letters is two strands together where I used blues left over from various other projects in an effort to make it look ocean-y.

There's probably something deeply wrong about using superglue in bed, but I don't care 'cause I'm a rebel.

Hahaha, I kinda missed the first part and I was hoping William Clark said "Suck it bitches!" upon viewing the Pacific Ocean. What he actually said is almost (almost!) as good. You are a crazy good knitter, text is way beyond me.

I'm not sure what it is about profanity that makes me love a craft that much more, but it is something i have come to terms with, lol. I love your bag dearly, and your scarf is rockin too! also?

The two FO's rock but Meshuge's comment: HILARIOUS!!!

I am so close to purposely falsely attributing the quote "SUCK IT BITCHES!" to William Clark  Grin

You certainly have some lucky friends... these are great gifts! I am partial to the bag myself, but the scarf made me laugh. I lauged even harder after I read the comments!

Great work on both of these!
