Link to a picture of the tins I'm talking about above.  They do open more than it shows but not much & the lid does not slide all the way off.  I've given a few to my DD but I hate to chuck them.  TIA!!

Those are so cool!! I wouldn't toss them either!

What to do with them...hmmm...obvious answer would be to paint or fabric-cover the outside and continue to use for a mirror (anyway to refill with more mints? or other candies? I can't really tell from the photo.)

I suppose you could loose the cover and do something with the mirror section--can you hook them together somehow--maybe a couple jump rings (one at each end) and make a bigger mirror out of these "mirror slats" ?  Or a mirror "fan"

Use a sharpie to write messages on the mirror---my daughter wrote "Hi to you!" on the mirror on the visor in her car, which has a slide over cover on it.  Everytime I slide the cover back it makes me smile.  Maybe you could put Valentine's style messages in there and use for gifts?

You could always use them in personal swaps!
