Florida and Texas: Just use a light jersey or a lightweight poplin.  Or a silk or sheer.  Kinda like a k hepburn thing.

You know, I buy most my stuff second hand and I often pass up really great parkas for my kids because they are missing the hoods.

I was looking at this in the children's thread yesterday, and today, and I have decided that I must have one. I'm from Amarillo TX. and it can get pretty cold here and I think I have my Christmas list all made out.(but first I'm gonna make one for me) Thanks to you. and I have to mention that you and your beautiful daughter could be twins. too adorable. thanks for the tut. I love all your wonderful works of art.
