Hello, hello!

I am mad to take a crack at button-making and quite curious to know precisely what sort of machine would be required to attempt making such adorable buttons - please do let me know when you have a moment.

Thanks very much and congratulations on such smashing results!

Welp, I've set in a supply of buttons - I'm going to make some! These are SO CUTE! I also found some covered buttons without the wire on the back, so they can be fixed to other things without having to go through the extra step of taking off the wire.... I can't wait to try it!

I think these would look so darling on a chunky pink sweater for my four year old niece. Hm. Christmas present? Quite possibly!

sounds great! I can't wait to see what you'll do. Smiley

Rachington: I have a Buttonmaker 100 which makes 1 inch button/badge/pins like these. I got it and the button parts on ebay. Smiley

These are lovely!

I made a few attempts at doing something like this only without the aid of a button maker. I had a few extra 1.5 inch buttons that I'd never worn (thank you summer jobs) and made essentially embroidered button covers. I used leftover broad cloth and went to town stitching a swear word onto one and "Hug Me" on the other. The "Hug Me" button is a little messier on the back because I did it first but I cut tabs that I sort of lashed across the back of both of them.

I don't have pictures but they are well loved.

I've only just discovered the art of making your own buttons a few weeks back after my Mum showed me the way. It really makes a craft project unique finishing it off with a hand made button. I love your selection. The colors are lovely. x
