This is an amazing idea! Look how clever you are!

I too reuse wrapping paper and bags and tissue paper over and over. I too was *appalled* by the enormous garbage heap when my very large family was done with gifts last year. Appalled.

And thankyoulocust, I love your velcro idea. I am so going to have to try this!

This is a beautiful idea!  It gives the gift a WAY more personal touch than just slapping some dollar store brand gift wrap.

I love the added touch of the applique.

I really like this idea, i am one of those crazy people that save ALL the tissue paper and bags, I even have my 9 year old trained to fold the tissue up

I save the tissue paper to use for decopage projects.  Smiley

This is one of the best ideas I've ever heard of.  I think I'm going to make a bunch of them for this year's haul.  It'll be especially appropriate since I'm hoping to make homemade stuff for everyone!!!  Cheesy  Thanks for the idea!

This is such a great idea.  The waste of wrapping paper really is disgusting, so I started reusing gift bags a few years ago.  I like this idea even better.

Thank you so much to EVERYONE for the kind comments! I was actually hesitant to post this at first because I thought people would think it was silly, but I guess not! Your warm feedback has really made my day. I can't wait to make more of these, and if you make some please post pictures in this thread! I'd love to see them!

You, my friend, are a genius. Kid-designed embroidered pillows and resuable gift wrapping? How do you manage to come up with such great cute ideas?
