I found this box at the Flea market for 1,00 (around $ 1,50). It was bare wood, with a horrible wood-burned knitting image, but I had to get it, since they usually sell for like 12,00 here if you buy them at the store.

I used some black felt to line it on the inside, then paper with white polka dots and a vintage image of a Pin-Up and decoupaged away. As "frame" I just used some ribbon and decoupaged that in place as well. I also added the "Beau-ti-ful" saying the same way.

Here is the result:

And the inside:

And yes, I know I have a ridiculously small amount of tools, but hey - you gotta start somewhere, right?

You likey?

It's beau-ti-ful.  I've decoupaged over boxes I didn't like in the past too.  It makes them so much better  Smiley

I absolutely LOVE this box.  What a great idea!  I've got a few boxes around this size that could use some sprucing up, as well as a book of vintage wallpaper samples that I've been wondering what the heck I was going to do with.  I'm off to decoupage!!
