LOVE IT

hello! i am in love with the exterior fabric you used. actually i like both the exterior and interior fabrics. i've got a few yards of each myself. Smiley your bag turned out beautifully and

the colors are just so wonderful!!

i tried out the weekender bag too and really loved the outcome. i was making my first one for a fashion show i entered and ended up tweaking the pattern a bit so it was more like a bowling bag with its rounded corners:

i'm trying it again and will be making it as my diaper bag, but wanted to ask you about yours. i'm planning on using cotton quilting fabric for the exterior this time instead of heavy upholstery fabric. i see that this is what you used as well. did you just iron the interfacing into the exterior fabric? Did you have any trouble with the fabric pulling away from the interfacing as you sewed or turned the bag inside out? I'm worried about how it'll look in the end. i was planning on just using quilt batting instead of fusible interfacing, but wanted to see how you went about making yours.

let me know your thoughts. thanks!!
THIS ROCKS   Logged

It came to me that every time I lose a dog
they take a piece of my heart with them.
And every new dog who comes into my life
gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live
long enough, all the components of my heart
will be dog, and I will become as generous
and loving as they are."
