Put me in coach, I'm ready to play

jagger just posted some beautiful photos (including jellyfish at the Vancouver aquarium) and it reminded me that I keep telling my husband I feel like I should write a thank you note to Canada.  So, I figured I would - and I'd put it here.

We went to Vancouver, Whitler & Victoria for a week at the end of August.  This was a big vacation for us (we live in southwest US and it's hard for my spouse to get away from his business for more than a long weekend).  Since it was so rare, we really splurged and did SO much great stuff (beluga encounter @ aquarium our #1 - zipline in Whistler #2).

We get overrun with "snowbirds" for half the year and we all hate them.  Canadians were SO much nicer than I would be to our tourists  Wink

If anyone is thinking of going any of those places - DO IT.  Everything was just so remarkable.  Truly, best trip ever.  I am in love with Canada.  It was amazing.  I can't wait to come back.

So - thank you Canada!

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

It's always awesome to hear someone had a great time here!  And the zipline thing is great - I did it this summer for the first time too.

And - we had the two cutest guys helping us out!  I was initally pretty terrified, but determined to have fun.  And by the end I was hanging upside down with no hands.  While we were doing it we found out they had a second course that was more "extreme".  I am all ready to do that!

I am planning a big BC craft project.  Some kind of wearable art.  It's still fuzzy, but will include embroidery, iron-on photos, patches I bought, not sure what else.

I still get "WOW" all over when I think about the things we did on that trip - I figure the clothing will give me a big smile every time I see it.
