I asked for some help on this a few weeks ago. I took apart an existing dress for the pattern and omitted the cuffs and collar. I lined everything but the sleeves in bleached muslin. The dress turned out perfect and I held my breath when she tried it on...and so did she. It fits like a glove!

Inspiration without application is moot.

I went to your blog to look at more pictures. I must say, the way the skirt hangs on her is simply wonderful, the way the shirt ties to the right and the deep V.

She looks so happy and beautiful.

Thank you for all your great comments. The real reward was that the bride (my sister) loved it. It was a labor of love.

What a wonderful dress and a lovely thing to do for your sister (and how nice that she was happy to entrust this to you).  I read today that "A sister is a forever friend".  She'll remember the dress forever too!

What is on the hemline to give such a lovely edging?

What a gorgeous dress! The wrap style is  very beautiful and she looks fabulous!  Is it cotton?

That is fantabulous! I LOVE the wrap top. And the whole thing is really stylish.
She looks like she can actually relax and have fun at her wedding!
