hey all,
i'm not sure how many of you have heard of baby legs (http://www.babylegs.net/) , but they are super cool!  they are like leg warmers for babies and come in really cool patterns.  anyway, i made this pair for my niece using this tutorial: (http://www.flickr.com/photos/babyhopes/237396880/in/set-72157594274454468/)

it was super quick and easy!  i just gave them to her today, so i don't have a picture of them in action yet but here are a couple that i took.

Wow that is a cute pattern for a little girl. To bad only ultra cute toddlers/preschoolers can pull those things off. Such a nice thing to make for your niece.

...you obviously have never checked out the babylegs website. they are for boys and girls, and they look adorable on any baby. you don't have to make them pink and purple, although boys can wear those colours too.

my son has 2 pairs, one is green stripes and the other is black with leg bones. i always long for more *lol* but can't afford to spend 25 bucks on them.
thanks for this! i am going to make some asap.

you can check out the target website, they have them for around $12 (which is still a lot, but it's better than $25  Wink)

Once you learn how to make them from knee high socks, they are addictive. I just bought a 3 pack of really cute ones for $12 at Fashion Bug and then got another 3 pack for $1 (a little over $2 a pair versus $12 a pair).  I have 3 official babylegs and I have made about 4 on my own with 7 more to go. I prefer the ones I made over the original ones because they tend to stay up better  and roll down less. They are also longer, so as she gets taller, she should be able to wear them instead of tights. It's great for the winter especially when trying to teach her to use the potty.

I don't have a way to post pictures from our hosting site yet and I can't figure out how to post pics through the picture link here, so when I have a means to post, I'll show you my babylegs Smiley

Just made some for a 2.5 year old to match an outfit I made her.  Look for my posting in the kids' clothing board.  I hope the top isn't too tight around her legs!  But since the socks are designed for grown-ups, and my calves are pretty *butch*, they should fit toddler thighs, eh?
