The minute I saw the new Knitty, I knew I would make about 90% of it, this being the first installment.  I had a ball of Moda Dea's Cache, and the Urchin pattern was made for yarn like this.  The thick and thin texture is perfect, and it fits pretty well, even though my gauge was a bit tight.  This took less than four hours total, and I love the outcome!

Great job! I love the colors! Which yarn did you use? Urchin is one (of the million) projects on my to-do list, too.

I kinda love it.  is it knit in the round, or left to right?  I haven't looked @ the pattern yet.

Ahh!  You're so smart!  I also have some Cache that I bought a while ago, but never figured out how to use it.  I'm definitely going to give this a try!  Yours looks great, really pretty on you!   Cheesy

That's gorgeous! Urchin is on my to-knit list as well, since I got some lovely shaded blue thick-n-thin yarn in a grab bag one time and have been wondering what to make from it ever since.

Lovely colors, and I'm glad to hear it didn't take very long. I have some crazy yarn from a craft fair that would be perfect for this pattern, so one of these nights I'm going to sit down with a couple movies and make it.

Have you started anything else from the new knitty yet? I'm almost finished Cherie Amour; you can check out the progress on my blog.
