I went to a carboot sale today and found, to my delight, this object...

now i'm hating it- there's this flakey glue that is holding the dome and the base together-
i HAVE to get into it- there's half a dead butterfly in there- ick!

I was thinking i'd love to put a funky dollshouse chair in there or something- maybe change it everyso often..
but with this gydafg glue i can't do anything
chipping it away is taking an age and i'm not sure it'll work completely...

Hayulp!

Working on: Wahol-esque Nite Owl painting, more knitted tanks, embroideries by the dozen.

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.

If the dome and base are glass it would probably be worth it to try some solvents to dissolve the glue.  If they're plastic, they might melt.  That said, I think that your dollhouse chair idea is brilliant!  Especially if you customize it.  Put a dome over anything and it becomes special, and as it's already special it becomes a centerpiece!
