I have um, Smiley a few dangling earrings and they are really hard to store. I got tired of untangling them and digging for them, plus they are so pretty. I saw this type of idea in a magazine but it was for something else. I thought it was so cool. I just found a frame at goodwill and painted it. Stapled screen from a window screen on it and voila! Earring dipslay. IT is like decoration in my bedroom! I have been using it for about 6 months now and it still looks and acts like new. I love it. Hope you all like it. Let me know what you think.

PS: I only joined one month ago and I wanted to post this because I thought it would be useful for people obsessed with earrings like me Wink

You've got awesome taste in earrings, and I really like how you display them. I've got to try something like this; it's way too hard to see what I have, when they're all stuffed in a jewelry box.

i have to say, of all the earring picture screen holders i have seen, i like yours the BEST! it's very nifty how you have managed to not only make something functional, the way you have your earrings arranged on it looks like its a work of art! i wonder if i could pull that off....i love (...having a wee bit of an addiction to...) dangly earrings as well Smiley great job, great job Smiley

Wow you all are so nice! Thanks, you made my day.
If you all decide to do this, I just cut out the screen 2 inches bigger on all sides and then trim later. But I did want to tell you all that when you staple the window screen on make sure you do NOT staple it towards the front of the frame because the first time I tried it it knocked off all the decorative stuff on the front. Does that make any sense? I guess I don't know how else to describe it, but there were carved wood flowers on the front and they started to crumble. Just wanted to let you all fellow earring lovers know. Right now I am working on a way to organize my studed earrings. I don't want to have to lift up the frame to get to them but I really think the same wire screen mesh would work great. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks again. Glad to know I am not alone with my addiction Smiley haha have a good day. If you have any questions feel free to ask, k.

That's such a cute idea!  All of my dangly earrings are stuck into a cork message board right now to keep untangled...functio nal, but not nearly as cute as this is!  Great job!

Very cute idea, and you did a super job with it!  For post type earrings, could you staple the screen to an 8x10 (or smaller) stand-up sort of picture frame?  It would still be pretty from the front, but the earrings would be easy to access that way.
