I was at the antique store a few weekends back and I found a big ole collection of old Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books so I had to snatch some up. Once I got home and started looking through the books a bit more I found "What Happened At Midnight" and I just new that it's fate was to be a wall clock....

I used this tutorial from instructables.com http://www.instructables.com/id/Literary-Clock/

So, whatcha think?!

Gee wiz, thanks for all the awesome replies! ^_^

No, it wasn't hard to do. The hardest part was cutting out all of the pages so that the clock would actually fit in it right. I cut out all the pages once then after putting the clock in the front the back part wouldn't fit in the pages right so I had to go through and cut a little more out of all the pages.

As for cost....the book was about $3 at the antique store, the clock kit was about $10 (Michael's), I already had the spray paint (the clock kit came in a bronze color) and mod podge to glue the pages together. I glued my pages together so it would look nicer once mounted on the wall, if you do that don't glue the back cover though or you won't be able to change your battery. ^_^

That looks great. My mind is going trying to figure out a great bookcover to use now. Thanks also for the link to instructables website. Neat site.
