I love it! What a fun idea for kids. You can hardly ever find cool stuff like this for boys. Did you make the pattern up yourself?

Human rights are for EVERYONE.  Did you know that Aung San Suu Kyi had been released from house arrest in Burma? Many other prisoners of conscience are still being detained.  Please research this topic... Amnesty International needs your help.

olive415: Yes, I made it up as I went.

I don't know yet, if my nephew will wear it. Children usually aren't very pleased about wearable gifts. He acted shy and hardly looked at it ... but his mother liked it, hehe.

Holy mother of pearl, that's cool!  Looks a little like your DD might need something like that herself, she sure looks cute and proud in it!  I bet that your nephew liked it, but sometimes the young ones just don't have that skill yet.  I made something for a 5 AND A HALF (that half was very important) year-old boy last Christmas that he seemed kind of uninterested in, but later learned that he made everyone who came over look at it and made sure they knew that I made it, all of it, just for him.
