I was browsing deviantart and I saw an artist who used the same few characters and just periodically drew them doing random things, like messing with a telemarketer and such.
I was sort of inspired to do something like that.
sort of like a comic strip, but with a single drawing each installment.
I want to have a few characters and base the plot off my life, but a little less boring.
I've been referring to it (so far) as an "artistic series", but I don't know what it really would be.
if anyone can help me coin a term I'd be very grateful.

Comics can be only one panel... so I would just stick with "comics" or "cartoons".  Makes it nice and simple  Smiley

That would be a comic. Cyanide and Happiness is similar to what you are explaining.
