Blue Glitter Shoes - Mary Jane Heels with Tutorial

So I posted this  in the clothing section with the rest of the outfit but i thought it  might be good to post them in the shoe section.






You will Need:
1. Small Box
2. Sheet of paper
3. Glitter of choice  (Medium Size Craft Glitter Fine or Xfine are too small and won't sparkle well)
4. Shoes (duh)
5. Craft Glue
6. Mod Podge
7. Acrylic Sealant (paint on type)
8. Sponge brushes
9. Napkins (to get all that glue off your fingers)


So i got a normal pair of Mary Jane heels they were leather so I treated them with Saddle Soap (makes them softer) and let them sit over night. It could have been a few days i don't remember.

-Then get your Small Box, Craft Glue, paper, shoes and get your butt outside

-Once outside pick a spot where you can work and can clean up glitter afterwards. Put the sheet of paper inside the box. The box will help contain any stray glitter and make clean up easy.

-Take your Glue and apply it to the shoes a section at a time with the little sponge brush (or your fingers) which ever. Don't over do it or you will have clumps of glitter when you are done.  Try to make the glue even. Don't worry about little blank spots you can always go back and fill them later.

-Hold Shoe over box and paper and cover liberally with Glitter. Pat the glitter into the glue.

-Now your paper in the box will be covered in glitter, you can now pick up the paper with the glitter on it and put all that extra stuff back into your glitter container for the next round.
Repeat until your shoes are finished.  Fill in any little holes with glue and glitter.  let dry outside and tap on ground to remove extra glitter. The less in your house the better.

-Don't forget to clean your brushes you will need them later.

-Make sure all glue is dry by letting them dry over night.

-Take your Shoes back outside with your Mod Podge , Apply the Mod Podge with the spongy brush until completely Covered. give it a nice thick coat. If it's not thick enough you can reapply after it dries.

-Once fully dry then apply your Acrylic sealant I just got some Generic stuff from Joanns in the paint section. 

-Let Dry.

Then Voila! your shoes are done!
Wear them with pride!
