Anyways i was bored the other day and i had some leftover fabric laying around so i decided to try and make a skirt. I thought it was going to turn out really ugly but to my surprise, it was actually quite decent.....well to me it did. This was the very first skirt i made so i'm pretty happy with the results. i didn't use a pattern either so i'm proud lol Cheesy but anyways tell me what you guys think of it Cheesy

Here's the skirt...

And here's me wearing it!(this picrture looks kinda wierd cuz i had to resize the picture so it wouldn't go over the limit)

How'd you do it? was it hard? i'm workin on my first skirt at the moment, and its kinda similar to yours, but not really.  Smiley but i like the band at the top- is that stretchy stuff? if you dont mind could you give like simple instructions? i'm a beginning sewer, and i need all the help i can get! thanks!

jamaicandiva- the band at the top is stretchy and i had to hand sew most of it because my sewing machine wasn't working that day for some reason but what i did was i cut out a really long piece of fabric and i pinned it to the band at the top. i made the ruffles by folding the fabric a little bit (that why the fabric has to be really long) but after i pinned the fabric to the top band, i just started sewing it. then afterwards, i sewed the side of the skirt together. sorry if this doesn't make sense if it doesn't just tell me and i'll try my best to rephrase everything
