I finished the hat last night, and, well, it's really tiny.  I'm sort of new to knitting and this made me realize that I knit very tight.  I'm going to bump up my needle size and hopefully have a grown-up size hat to wear.

I like your version of their hat allot better. I have fallen in love with seed st as much as I hate to do it, I love the cleaner look as opposed to garter st.

I started knitting a week ago, self taught by watching a video LOL Anyhow I saw this hat and had to make it for my sister in law for Christmas. I used a vintage flower pin rather than a button Smiley I think you will have to copy and paste the link in your browser if you want to see my photo.
