I need to find worsted weight vegan yarn in Ravenclaw colors.  Preferably something inexpensive.  Any suggestions?

book or movie colors?  Do you need a certain level of softness? (I.e. with a scarf, not all yarns are soft enough for sensitive people)

here's a company that specializes in hemp & hemp blends.

I would love to know the recommended colours for both Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff colours (not really bothered if it is book or movie colours though) but ideally in acrylic or other washable yarn (pref  something cheap and easy to find (possibly knitpicks yarns?)

Ravenclaw -- grey/silver bronze and blue
Slytherin -- Green and silver gold I think
Gryffindor -- Crimson and gold
Hufflepuff -- I'm thinking brown and gold, will look it up and edit. Black and Gold/Yellow

acrylic yarn is a good choice. Vanna's choice isn't half bad and has nice colors. I found hufflepuff colors in the red heart super saver which my best friend assures me softens up after washing.

I have been hearing about corn fibers but not yet tried it. a hemp/cotton blend might be nice. And I have hear tofutsies has a vegan yarn but I don't know what it's called. Or about about blue sky organic cotton, its super lush and soft. I don't know if they have the right colors though.

I can go look in the morning, my neck is killing me today

Tofutsiese is NOT vegan.  It's a specific line of Southwest Trading Company and uses chitlin --from shellfish--and wool.

A vegan knitter doesn't used any animal product yarns - wool, alpaca, silk (from silkworms), etc.

Sorry I hadn't read the fiber content just saw it listed as vegan when I was doing a google search yesterday for a vegan yarn.

anyways---soysilk.com does carry several natural fiber yarns that could work but I think bronze may be a hard color to come by.

Yeah, that's my problem - the bronze.  I really don't want to use Red Heart unless I have absolutely no choice.  They do have a shade that works as a bronze, but I hate the feel of it.
