Well there are the obvious things like keychains, magnets, and jewelry.  You could also decorate things like boxes, lamps, you could use them to make little notebook/journal covers with, you could make a wind chime, make an awesome 3-d collage, decorate the side of a bookcase, all sorts of things

my daughter would kill for those neopets to be made into crafts!
side note, her neopet pet pet is in the spotlight today.  she is 11 and came in screaming they picked her (page 275 for those neopet players).
Maybe make some earrings/charm bracelets, picture frames or a funky mobile?

I know, I know!  I Spy Bags!

Make a pocket bag with a vinyl window, fill with rice and treasures, sew up, then try to find all the different items.

I make them for the neighbor kids all the time.  They are fun for kid gifts, or adults love them too.

The temporary tattoos can be put on folders or cards etc - I used to do that nearly 20 years ago and they are still okay...

Those Spy bags are ingenious! I bet children and adults adore them-I know I do and I'm in my twenties!

Wow, I LOVE those I Spy bags! I think I'll have to make me some!

As for any ideas I might have.... well, I've seen bracelets and earrings made with doll shoes and trinkets, but I don't think I could beat the I Spy bag idea. I mean, you don't have to drill holes in anything, you just stuff it in a pouch!   Ingenious!

i too have a TON of little niknaks, which is why i clicked on this post.. and im so glad i did! those I-SPY bags are the coolest things ive ever seen! my kids would love them. my daughter brought home a 'discovery jar' the other day, that was this old plastic pickle jar filled pretty much the same as the bags, only with bigger stuff in them and she loved it, so i be she would be ecstatic to own her own mini version!! thanks for the great idea!
