i know these things can be expensive, i worked it out, i may get a few issues if they're available, just for the patterns, because any form of crochet related material is hard to come by round here, most stuff has to be bought when i'm elsewhere and happen upon something good or from the internet and i like to be able to have a flick through a book before buying it, which you can't do online

YKYACW ... a pipe bursts in your building and you're told you have to evacuate until further notice and one of the FIRST THINGS you pack is the fabric for a swap you're doing and the organizational sheets for a swap you're organizing, before clothes even!

When you worry about buying craft supplies and then someone gets you the same thing you were obsessing over.

Ack! Who throws away an dictionary?!  An educator of all people?!  At the very least recycle the paper!  So glad you got it for your art!

YKYACW you try to explain granny daughters' to someone as "the first row a granny square" and you realize that no one you talk to knows what a granny square is.

YKYACW the best part of your day is discussing crochet patterns with one of your teachers.

YKYACW you have three skeins of yarn, two crochet hooks, a yarn needle, scissors, and a tape measure in your school bag and still don't think you brought enough!

YKYACW your cat has craft herpes...she spilled some of my glitter then rolled in it.

YKYACW half of your bed is covered with craft supplies, even while you're sleeping. I never roll over onto the supplies while I'm sleeping either.

Blood, sweat, & tears: crafting isn't for the faint of heart.

YKYACW you smile like an idiot because your new love interest informs you that he can sew.

I can totally relate!  Cheesy
My kids put glitter on the cat & it took forever for me to get it off him!
2 nights ago I slept on a folder containing a bunch of my drawings. I didn't even know they were there! I have a big bed I sit on while I draw & love to spread everything out around me while I work. It's softer than the floor & I don't prefer to sit in a chair when drawing...unless it's being drawn on the computer!
