I found the subversive cross stitch website by clicking a link on craftster and I am so glad I came across it. Yes it's immature but the kits really made me smile. I decided to get the cancer one as I lost both my grandparents earlier this year to cancer, and my mum's currently in hospital for her second lot of treatment so I am trying to work out my frustrations in a creative way...

This is the first cross stitch project I've done since in about 17 years, and I really like how it turned out. The frame is one I decorated a few months back. It was all gold, so I added some brown paint and rubbed it down a bit, then hot glued the flowers on. I really enjoyed stitching this and I am planning to make some more things from the book soon.

Maturity in crafting is over rated, your cross stitch is AWESOME!  My condolences on the loss of your grandparents and my best wishes to your mum for a complete recovery.

Great cross stitch. You might want to rearrange your pics so that first one doesn't stay in the heading too long.

"Stressed" is "desserts" spelled backwards.

That is a job well done!

I am so sorry for the loss of your grandparents, and hope that your mother will pull through. I am sure that your creative and humoristic ways of dealing with her illness will help her cope and speed up a full recovery.

I couldn't agree more!  There's nothing better to soothe the soul than a little crafting!  Hang in there!

If I knew about subversive when my mom was fighting, I would have proudly stitched that up and hung it in her hospital room.  A big vocabulary means choosing the most fitting words, and a big FUCK YOU to cancer is apropos.  Best wishes to your mom and to you.

Nice stitching and frame Smiley
