My husband recently spent days making me a pirate costume for a party we went to.  To thank him, I made him an amigurumi chihuahua for his desk at work.  I got the pattern here: http://katcrochet.com/chi.htm

I haven't come up with a name for him yet.  Side view:

This is my first amigurumi project and I am very happy with how he turned out.  Enjoy!

You should take it up again!  I recently took it up after almost 25 years of not doing it!  He was very easy to make, all single crochet.

I love your chi!  I made one when for my chi/fox terrier and she loves it to death!  But yours came out much better than mine!

Sooo cute! I have that pattern printed out; you're inspiring me to try it!  And the real chi is gorgeous too Smiley Mine sits like that, with his little front paws tucked under so they look like chicken wings...

I love when he sits like that too.  He tucks his legs in and then falls forward on top of them.  He makes me laugh every time he does it.
